My husband and I drove out to Boston early this morning because my husband had meetings and he also had a flight to catch at Logan. Recently the Seaport District has had a revitalization and it is becoming an exciting place to go out to eat and to stroll around and that was our destination for the day.
Before my husband’s lunch meeting, we met up with a good friend of my husband’s Andrew, who I consider to be my friend as well, his wife is so much fun and very vivacious to boot, but alas she was at work. They are the ones who took us out to dinner a few months ago and then to hear the Four Seasons afterwards and we had a great time. Today it was Andrew in between meetings and he invited me to lunch. Andrew has great taste in restaurants and today was no exception. The Mexican place that we went to had a wonderful menu and we chose very well. We started with guacamole and then he had a Caesar salad with shrimp and I had a lobster ceviche; everything was well presented and the ceviche was a perfect selection for a rapidly warming day. Thank goodness for the breeze, it took the heat away pleasantly as well as the bugs. Lunch was so relaxing, sitting by the water, admiring the boats or should I say the yachts. The company was fantastic, I didn’t notice the time go by, before we knew it, it was time to bring my husband to the airport and for me to drive back home.
Nothing beats a relaxing meal by the water with great company and good food. It solidifies the important things in life; taking a moment to stop and appreciate simplicity.
