blue skies, postadya2016, weather

Today is Groundhog Day and  Punxsutawney Phil in Punxsutawney PA did his annual job and announced we will have an early Spring. It’s a little hard to take him seriously this year because it already feels like Spring.

I am so happy walking around my backyard in nothing but a sweater, taking pictures celebrating this glorious day, full of bright blue sky, lavender and thyme smelling fragrant despite being February 2nd.

Today’s weather is another dose of naturally wonderful medicine, helping me stay positive despite how hard the treatments are, being cumulative and everything, seeing blue skies for miles and feeling the sun’s rays on my head feels so restorative, it’s easy to walk around with a smile on my face.

Blue skies…. so put on a happy face

blue skies, postaday2015, quiet

What a difference in just two days, I can see New Jersey clearly from my vantage point whereas it was only yesterday when I couldn’t see the top of the skyscrapers just outside my window.

We spent these two days at this hotel, in small part a nod to nostalgia, we spent our wedding night here almost 25 years ago, but really for business purposes, an industry conference and it made sense to be right here in the midst of networking opportunities.

Later today I am going to hop over the Queensboro bridge and stay with my mother, spend quality time with her and get back to peace and quiet, at least relative to the hustle bustle of New York City, not quite the same as home, but still much quieter.lol

My husband is a talented photographer, in my humble opinion. He was an avid photographer during his college years and even afterwards. He has the eye and while he is away on his business trip, he has shared quite a few pictures with me and they are so very beautiful. These pictures were taken at the very tip of Florida; the Florida Keys. I have never been, but after seeing these gorgeous photos, I would not complain at all if I had to go spend some time down there.

Aren’t these pictures just glorious? Don’t they make you just want to jump on a plane and fly down there? It seriously looks like paradise. I’m glad that I have another set of pictures to help me plan another destination for my bucket list.
