The baby girl and I are on flight 023 Air France on our way to Paris. I know that it has been seven years since I have been on a plane, but I honestly don’t remember so much turbulence before. It has been none stop since we have taken off. The baby girl hasn’t minded, I don’t really mind either but it does make one wonder sometimes. Right before dinner, the plane felt like it was going on a spin cycle, it was really that bumpy. I started to practice my deep breathing, thank goodness the video monitor on the back of the chair in front of me, was working and I could lose myself in the movie Pride and Prejudice, the one with Kiera Knightley and Donald Sutherland, I love that movie. It really makes me appreciate being a woman in modern times because I would have surely been a spinster in those times.
Dinner came and went, the baby girl liked the beef stew with mushrooms and mashed potatoes and I had the orzo with curry and grilled chicken. I am going to try to get some sleep now because we land at midnight our time, 6:00 a.m Paris time and if I don’t get some sleep I might very well be sleepwalking through the terminal at Charles de Gaulle and then where would we be.
