Today we take the time to honor our Veterans, as it should be, considering their selfless sacrifice for our freedoms. I admire the commitment, the discipline and the mindset that distinguishes our military families from the rest of us. However, it would be lovely if we extended our remembrance to the everyday, writing our elected representatives to do more for our Veterans in their réintroduction back in our society. Today is a wonderful day to think about ways we can help beyond the parades and the store sales.
