Our friends Claudine and Marc treated my mother and I to a fabulous lunch at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel at 80 Columbus Circle. We were seated near the windows overlooking Central Park surrounded by a posh opulence one doesn’t see everyday. We enjoyed brunch if you will, Claudine, Marc and my mother each ordered omelettes, I went rogue and ordered a “commuter” sandwich, an omelette, bacon, turkey and avocado on an English muffin, it was delicious. It was such a relaxing meal, low key and so comfortable, we weren’t rushed, we talked, laughed and really enjoyed our last day together. Tomorrow I am going back home and on Saturday our dear friends are leaving New York for another adventure.
