My husband and I went to see the movie Spy starring Melissa McCarthy just to spend a few hours laughing and boy did I laugh and laugh and laugh. I love Melissa McCarthy and she has chemistry with everyone, man or woman, it doesn’t matter. I especially loved watching Miranda Hart and Melissa together, they were absolute perfection as friends and co-workers. My only experience watching Miranda Hart, has been on the Graham Norton show as a guest and she has always been funny and lovely there, I didn’t know that she was also cast in this movie and she was a comedic bonus.

What I enjoyed perhaps the most, aside from the laughter, is how the women carried the movie and the men played the supporting roles. It was a breath of fresh air in an action movie, albeit an action movie with a lot of shenanigans going on, but still refreshing to watch.

I have seen Jude Law in comedic roles before, but Jason Statham, his turn as a comedic was new to me , he more than held his own going toe to toe with Melissa McCarthy and the rest of the gang, I was impressed. Rose Byrne is an old pro when it comes to comedy and she and Melissa definitely make a great team.

My next favorite part of the movie had to be all of the location shots; I got to see Paris, Rome and Budapest, three beautiful cities, all for the price of a movie ticket.

I urge everyone who needs a good laugh to go and see this movie, you will enjoy yourself for a few hours, I promise.
