I took this picture while I was serving as tour guide to the Club Bigorneaux, the name we affectionately came up with  for the photography club that my cousin Francoise, Claudine, Marc and Alain are members of, it was our special nickname for a serious club that produces brilliant photography.

We were walking towards the Eastside in Soho, I forget the name of the Street, it might have been Spring Street. I love all of the detail within the picture, it is very complex and the focus very clear,  enough that you can pick them out one by one.

I take pictures in a utilitarian fashion for the most part; this is the rare picture that speaks to me on a level that surpasses the usual aim of being a visual aid. Here I see a story by itself.
