My husband gifted me with a Bougainvillea several years ago knowing how much I loved Bougainvillea because it reminded me so strongly of France. The only tough thing was that Blandford’s climate isn’t conducive to Bougainvillea; they love sunny hot climates and that is so not Blandford. I have been very lucky in keeping my Bougainvillea alive though it does get very sad during the winter time. This year it is thriving beautifully outside; I think that my pruning in early Spring had a lot to do with it.
I couldn’t resist taking some additional pictures of my first little purple bloom from amongst the bamboo, I can’t for the life of me remember the name of the plant, but little purple plant suits me just fine.
