A lovely rehearsal dinner

Today or rather this evening, our little family drove to Saratoga Springs, New York to join in the celebration of our little cousin, Nathan’s, upcoming wedding. This evening was the rehearsal dinner at a nice place called the Seven Horse Pub and tomorrow will be the wedding held in Scotia.

Our babies went in our other car so that they could spend quality time with their cousins whereas my hubby and I are on our way back to our dog baby Jack. We’ll see everyone again tomorrow and pick up where we left off this evening.

What I love about my hubby’s family is that even if we haven’t seen each other in a while, when we get back together, time spent apart fades away and we reconnect as if there hadn’t been a separation ever. I could spend hours talking to them without running out of things to talk about.
I’m very lucky.

Origin story

Why did you start your writing? Is that still why you write, or has your writing gone in a different direction than you’d planned?

I started writing as a whim, I was surfing the internet, stumbled onto WordPress and decided to give it a go by signing up for The Daily Prompt and I became addicted to writing. The joys and benefits that I found through writing are still relevant for me to this day. Several of the benefits that I have encountered through writing on a daily basis is relief from the stresses, the angst and the anxieties that I used to feel acutely every single day. The therapeutic value that writing has given to me is priceless and I will continue to write for a very long time.
