A great response is one that is honestly felt through descriptive verse, interesting adjectives and a logical progression of emotion and thought. If humor is blended in at any point, even better. Another aspect of the great response is giving a unique perspective on the subject to the reader, make your reader think a while on the way down the post. Moreover, challenging the conventional wisdom regarding what you have written about and making it intriguing, informative and persuasive will definitely get you in the "star" category of responses.
