Tell us about your favorite way to get lost in a simple activity – running, chopping vegetables, folding laundry, whatever. What's it like when you're in "the zone"?
My "zone" is a very simple one, a simple stream of consciousness. I have always loved walking, it's my favorite way to exercise, and I haver never used an MP3 player or an iPod as a walking accessory, my thoughts are more than enough to keep my occupied and in the zone. My other past time that involves the "zone" is weeding, when I weed my garden, my thoughts float around and I write my book in my head, I write story lines for my favorite soap opera, I plan future trips while I attack the weeds in my flower beds.
My zone is another reason why I never mind extensive prep work in the kitchen, I can chop for hours while thinking of this or thinking of that, creating stories in my head to entertain myself as I chop and prepare for a meal that will be delicious.
My zone is my place that allows me to do busy work, exercise and other things that may be onerous. I enjoy getting lost and caught up in my inner musings.
