If you could be any fictional character in the world, who would you choose to be? Why?
When I was younger I was a huge Nancy Drew fan. I had the whole series and when I had nothing else to read, I reread those books because I thought that Nancy Drew was the smartest girl and someone who I looked up to, I was about nine at the time and looking back Nancy Drew was a great role model for young girls. Another heroine that I loved reading about was Anne of Green Gables along with Laura from Little House on the Prairie. All these characters represented qualities that I aspired to having, being responsible, studious, dependable and honest. They also mapped out what I have, since then, looked for in future heroines such as Elizabeth Bennet, my favorite fictional character of all time. I can relate to her and her circumstance. She is someone who, if she were alive, would be a friend. I suppose that is the main theme in my love of reading; finding characters who would be friends and companions, characters that would give me something to think about and adventures to imagine and occupy my thoughts.
All good choices. I don’t think there is a fictional character I would like to be. I’ll have to think about it.
I have noticed that Plinky and the WordPress prompters overlap in their questions so I’m sure that the next prompt may have a similar theme. I do look forward to see what you will come up with if the question is ever posed. I think that I was going with who was the most relatable for me and that meant which shoes would I feel comfortable taking a stroll in, I guess. I don’t know, these type of questions are so far off the radar in my everyday life. 🙂
I loved Nancy Drew too!
I can’t imagine anyone not loving Nancy Drew.:)
I didn’t read Nancy Drew – but my big sister did. I was more of a Famous Five person.
The only character I can think of is Anne of Green Gables. We have a lot in common as it is.
Apart from the red hair…. the family circumstances … the nationality … the hot and sudden temper…
But apart from that 🙂
You are funny. I do the same thing; I have a lot in common with .. except for the .. and the … and the…it gets funny after in a very short time. I was trying to remember the name of the young couple who played detective in the Agatha Christie books, I liked the young lady.
