Tonight we are, according to the weather people, going to get an avalanche of snow here in the Northeast. Batten down the hatches everybody. My baby boy actually came to me in shock over the fact that the authorities determined that anyone caught driving on the roads after 4 p.m would bet arrested and a 500 dollar fine. That is how dangerous the conditions might get out there in Mother Nature land.
Here we are all cuddly with a fire going and some good shows on the t.v. The only thing that could be very bad would be a power outage. Tomorrow the temperatures are going south towards the single digits so I am crossing my fingers that we keep the power.
I don’t know why they choose Nemo as the name of this storm. Captain Nemo was the antagonist in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea but I would have thought the name Nemo more apropos to a tropical storm, not a blizzard. I guess at this point, it doesn’t really matter what name they give this huge storm. It will be interesting to see just how many inches we will be forced to dig our way out of tomorrow.

Thanks for the ping!
Keep warm – lots of layers, not forgetting the head. We have a camping gaz stove and strategically placed candles and matches for any eventuality, ad a gpodly pile of logs under the carport.
Arrest and fine: What a great idea to discourage idiots who think they can drive through anything and cause havoc for the emergency services, not to mention freezing to death when they get stuck. I hope they don’t arrest the doctor or the midwife, though!
Good luck!
I think that the authorities had had it with the dangerous rescues because of the lack of common sense in many people. We got through it without any loss of power so it is just the matter of moving a lot of snow from a spot to another. 🙂
Stay safe! Wrap up warm and it would be a good idea to prepare flasks of hot drinks, just in case.
We survived without any power loss. Hooray! We have a lot of snow, Jack can’t go outside in the back because we wouldn’t find him. We have two fires in both fireplaces going in the house to keep us cozy. 🙂
Glad you are all okay!
😀
