Canada went right wing and anti-environment? When did that happen?
Stephen Harper is from the right and he is pushing the Tar sands drilling and extraction of oil which is horrible for our environment. Europe won’t accept tar sands oil because it is that bad for the environment. Canada has also re-evaluated their commitment to the Kyoto Protocol. The U. s didn’t sign it but no one should live by our bad example. I hope that in their next election they will elect a more environmentally conscience leader. The poor native people’s of the Alberta region have been forced to go to the courts to plead their case bacau see their lands are being disrupted with pollutants. Poor people, tar sands oil is terrible for our planet never mind their backyard.
Never heard of it but it sounds horrible. Never knew most of this. I did know about the US and Kyoto.
And Scotland had no summer.
We need to be mindful of our impact on our planet. I live in a country that has a political party who denies the existence of climate change. Ugh!
It doesn’t take a genius to spot climate change!
