Jack and I are reluctantly getting used to being just the two of us. When the house is quiet and I hear an odd noise, I get up half expecting Rex to be under the table or around the corner heading to his water bowl. Rex made a lot of noise and that was a daily part of the house’s noise.
Jack is getting used to our different pace of walking since I don’t have to walk slowly anymore, Jack has now taken up jogging to keep up with my brisk stride. It is good for him because he is a little on the chubby side, he hasn’t grown out of his puppy fat yet, but a few weeks of his three times a day cardio and he will be a little stud muffin.
Now that it has officially decided to stay chilly in Blandford, Jack is very happy to have his sweater when we go out for our walks. He doesn’t look it in the pictures but when we are outside I know that he appreciates it immensely. He never struggles when I put it on him and he doesn’t try to wiggle out of it, so that tells me that he knows he needs it. He is looking sad and forlorn because he is missing his brother as am I. Jack keeps looking under the table and sniffing around everywhere that Rex laid down and then climbing up on my lap with a big sigh. It breaks my heart but we will get through it, it is just a little fresh right now.
