  • Epic Sandwich
  • Pan Bagnat

I’m going to talk about two sandwiches of epic flavor. The first is my version of a Pan Bagnat, a French creation, I would put a Dijon vinaigrette on my pumpernickel bagel split in half and layer lettuce, tuna, sliced cucumber, tomatoes, hard boiled egg sliced, black olives, anchovies and I would wrap it in Saran wrap, weight it down and let it rest for a few hours, absolutely divine. The second sandwich is on ciobatta bread, one side slathered with tapenade, the other with pesto and layered with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and roasted peppers. This was such a delightful sandwich I used to eat at the Coffeshop at Union Square in New York City. I loved both of these sandwiches, I can’t choose a favorite.
