What more can I tell you about Sabine and myself? We both love to read, we love reading about the world and especially about the country across the Atlantic, the United States. That country is still so new and so different. Sabine and I wonder sometimes what it would be like to go over on a big ship and visit the United States. I would like to see the Statue of Liberty, I learned in school that Gustave Eiffel fashioned the interior of the Statue of Liberty and that the ideas of the Eiffel Tower came from his work on the Statue. She must be a grand thing to see from the deck of a steam ship. We both try not to daydream too much at work because that could be hazardous to our fingers and hands not to mention the product that we are responsible for, daydreams are best left to be savored in the quiet of your mind in your room or in a park, somewhere where you can give yourself over to them.
When people see Sabine and I, they see light and day because as dark as are my eyes and hair is as light as Sabine’s coloring. She is so blond and her eyes are the lightest blue, she looks like a porcelain doll that you would keep on a mantle. She is short and petite, not that I am tall and large. I am an average height and slim like the majority of French woman. I wouldn’t stand out in a crowd; I would blend in very well. Sabine would be the red flare, with her diminutive stature and the sheer blondness of her hair, you can spot her from a mile away. She would not make for a very good spy, she stands out too much, I on the other hand I blend in so well that you wouldn’t even know that I was there. Can you tell that Sabine and I also love to read mystery books and spy books?

Sleeping hands

I am an early bird, on occasion I can stay up late but it really has to be either a very entertaining reason or a very important reason. I have this gift of being able to fall asleep extremely easily so if I get comfortable I fall asleep. Sleep is wonderful and I feel very badly for those who have a hard time of it.

Why Santorum

What is the republican party really looking for? Obviously Mitt Romney isn’t it. The other candidates weren’t it also, Santorum is the latest to be in the spotlight but why him? Does the republican party really want a President who is bound and determined to police their bedrooms, to make sure that good living wages are really a thing of the past, that science is no longer a priority in our education or even our national discussion, that the wealthy contribute as little as possible to our nations future while the middle class in proportion to their meager wages are forced to contribute more and more? That the elderly no longer have any financial security such as the meager benefits of social security and Medicare; for many that is all that they have. Raising a family in the U.S has become cost prohibitive and Santorum wants to abolish contraception, Santorum doesn’t show much empathy or even logic with his religious doctrine, I really do not understand republicans.

Santorum lives in a vacuum when it comes to health care, if you are not fortunate enough to be a senator with access to the best health care coverage which is afforded to you by the tax payers or if you are not fortunate enough to have a full time job that overs an excellent private health care insurance; then you are going to be amongst the millions of us who struggle daily with private health care insurance companies who arbitrarily deny a procedure or a medication because someone in their office has decided that the medication is too expensive or the procedure is not necessary or it is experimental. What is the difference between public and private? The difference is that with a single payer option, giving the government the power to negotiate millions of people with the health care providers creates better cost control, given that high deductibles would no longer be an issue we would have better outcomes because preventative care would become the norm and not the exception it is now. Making health care a luxury creates more expensive health care costs since it usually becomes a too late scenario for most people and that is precisely when the cost sky rocket because of treating the disease instead of preventing it.

Mitt Romney Fundraising Stagnates, Decreasing His Financial Advantage

I can’t help but think that the economic health of one’s campaign should be a good indicator of one’s skills in budgeting, managing and rallying the those who work for you. If your campaign financials are in disarray that says something about your qualifications in general. Since candidates cannot “coordinate” with the super pacs then the financial responsibility lies with those who run the super pac, but looking at the numbers, particularly the contributions made by a few wealthy individuals to the Gingrich super pac, the Paul super pac and even Santorum’s makes me ill. To think that those sums of money, some of which are in the millions, are being spent on campaigns that won’t win and even if they did, a million dollars spent to fund negative campaigning to put someone in office who wants to keep the tax rate for the wealthy low, who wants to privatize social security, that million dollars could help a food bank for quite a bit of time, could help a homeless shelter, could buy public schools a few books. This is what we have come to in our political landscape, wealthy donors trying to control the political outcome of our democracy. It needs to stop.
