What is the controvers­y? Contracept­ion in most Catholic circles isn’t the big bugaboo it used to be and no one is asking the priests nor the nuns to be the distributo­rs of contracept­ive devices for goodness sakes. This has to do with contracept­ion being 100 percent covered by insurance carriers no matter who the employer is. If this is so distressin­g for the Catholic church or any religious group, then they should give prospectiv­e employees questionna­ires to see if any are using contracept­ion and take it up during the interviewi­ng process. I personally think that covering contracept­ion 100 percent is a fantastic idea and it is about time.

How I'd Give Away $1 Million

NYSE – Dress For Success

I would give my mother enough for her retirement, I would set up two trusts for my children and I would target charities that specifically help women and children. Dress for Success is an excellent charity to get women back into the workplace, for example. I also would be looking for tutoring programs, after-school programs to help fund. I would also be looking at food charities. There is so much need out there that it is overwhelming. I don't think a million dollars would go far enough.

I'm from Generation X and I don't really know what that means. X in mathematics is what you solve for, so am I what I solve for? Am I part of the solution? I do know that everyone is a part of the their own solution, so I answered my own question.

Superbowl XLVI

Superbowl Sunday is here, the one day of the year that the hubby and I watch football. Madonna is performing during the half-time show. I like Madonna but I’ve never seen her do a live performance so I hope that she does a nice job. She is singing to a huge audience, she must be nervous. I know that she is a veteran performer and she IS Madonna but still, the critics are really harsh if you mess up. The Giants are playing the Patriots, two good teams. Do I have a preference? No, I like them both so best of luck to the better team this year.

I am writing this as Madonna is performing and she is doing a huge bang up job. Great for her and you could tell that she is having a ball. She is still a tour de force at 51. One of the better half-time shows, I’m impressed.

When the teams get back it will be more suspenseful because it’s the second half with the score being 10 Patriots versus 9 Giants, at this point with it being so close, every play will be crucial and the clock is constantly ticking. It does make for good sports t.v.
