Snowfall is beautiful when new

I think that everyone would agree that snowfall is beautiful in the country, be it on the plains, the coast or the mountains. I really love when snowfall begins at night in the city, either Boston or New York, especially when the snow is falling nice and steady with the big fluffy snowflakes covering the entire city like a warm downy blanket. What makes this so special in my mind is how quiet and peaceful the cities become, they become transformed by the snow into your own private white wonderland. I have had the pleasure of walking through the streets of New York late at night during a snowstorm and I felt as if I were the only person left in New York, it was such a wonderful feeling. New York never feels like that, you are constantly reminded that you are one of millions walking through the daily grind but not on that night. That snowstorm transformed New York into mine for those few hours. Boston is giving me that same feeling looking out the window from our suite on Atlantic Ave off the water.

hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil

I tend to hold my tongue especially when you can't do anything about it. I don't like to complain and I don't like to criticize. I should be more specific, in personal matters I hold my tongue but when it comes to expressing myself politically, I don't hold back. I won't be rude when I criticize but I will write and say what I think and feel about the political and economic state of affairs in our country and overseas.

“It’s the Inequality, Stupid”: Mitt Romney’s Failure to Comprehend the Plight of the 99%

Romney is in a bit of a pickle or as he would know it a “cornichon”, how is he supposed to understand how seriously unhealthy the gross income inequality is for middle class/working poor/poor people when he has never been truly exposed to their struggles, hardships and fears? Romney has lived a privileged life since birth and when you are born in those circles the chances that you will experience anything remotely close to a middle class existence are fairly remote. He and his fellow 1 percenters don’t see anything wrong with their situation so why would Romney run and fight for policies that would reverse the growing income inequality? We only were slapped in the face with income stagnation because the fake wealth of the middle class was destroyed, housing equity and credit cards, if that hadn’t happened who knows how long the middle class would have happily gone along accepting lower wages just to keep jobs here in the U.S whereas the C.E.O’s continue to pull in higher and higher incomes. Our plight now in middle class America cannot be understood by someone like Romney.

Rick Santorum: Equality Comes From ‘God Of Abraham, Isaac And Jacob,’ Not Islam

I am fairly certain that the three faiths all stem from Abraham and his God; Judaism, Christianity and Islam. All three believe in the God of Abraham even though two of the religions call God by a different name. Jeruselum has been a city under siege throughout history because all three religions claim the city as their own. What I find offensive is that religion is used by people like Santorum as a tool to make others hate or fear other people who are simply different, he wants to reinforce division and exclusion in a hateful manner all in the name of religion. I strongly believe that his aims are wrong on every level. In my opinion religion should never be used to push hate and prejudice, religion should be about love and compassion.
