In 2012, my goal is to continue to perfect my writing skills and that will be a life long endeavor. I will also be trying to become more and more consistent with my baking, the issue that I am working on isn’t the taste of my confections but the attractiveness of the finished dessert. It is still a hit or miss, I would like to eventually graduate from the amateur ranks and enter the expert looking creator of sweets.
Since I am still working on my two skill sets, I think that I would be remiss if I tried something new just for the sake of doing something new. I would rather improve my skills in baking because food is a passion of mine. My writing, I would like to improve simply because I would like to share my stories with others and I can’t imagine appealing to audiences if my writing isn’t as tight and interesting as possible.
Maybe you should start a baking blog 🙂
That’s a a good idea, it will have to wait until after November is over. How are you doing? I miss you but I know that you are probably neck deep into your novel. This week is a little harder because I think that I made the mistake of reading those pep talk e-mails from other writers and I am doubting myself. I am pep talking myself now into ignoring what they said and just concentrating on forging ahead regardless, get those 50000 words down and than I can cut and paste and cut and cut. Argh!!
I am struggling with the novel. I have written little chunks, but they aren’t in order and I haven’t settled on a protagonist. But I will persevere- but it will take far longer than the end if the month to get to my word count!!
