I know that I am a very poor runner, I have always been challenged by running. I remember in freshmen year of high school in gym class we had to run a mile as part of our grade. I huffed and puffed and almost passed out at the mile marker with the disappointing time of 7:00 minutes. My running certainly hasn't improved since then, so I would much rather climb a mountain, I would need help coming back down, so if someone would volunteer to escort me down than I would happily climb.
There are two other examples to be taken from our history books, Teddy Roosevelt, I would say one of the original progressives, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was branded a traitor to his class, who followed in his Uncle’s footsteps. Am I surprised that the GOP do not know the correct meaning of the word hypocrisy, no. Elizabeth Warren is merely advocating for policies to reclaim the possibilities for social and economic mobility that have been lost to us, the vast majority, in the GOP’s and their lobbyists drive to shape the political landscape to create bigger payouts for the financial elite at the expense of the rest of us.
