Right now things are so tight, while we are waiting for feedback from job interviews, that the only thing that I can think of right now would be three hundred dollars. I don’t need three hundred more of anything else aside from well wishes, positive thoughts, hugs and kisses.
That is all that I can think of for the moment, I can’t believe that we are already at post number three hundred, I wasn’t sure that I would be disciplined enough to stay with the daily writing and I have to say that I am proud of myself for sticking to it.

inThat is the beauty of the Internet one doesn’t have to wait any longer for the “journalists” to report what is going on, one can inform oneself as much or as little, or as well or as poorly as one desires. The instantaneous transfer of communication and information is transformational and the old power regime is already kicking and screaming because I think that they sense that something massive is in the air and they are battening down the hatches for all it’s worth. The full onslaught by the Koch brothers and their moneyed political machine is a prime example. The OWS movement is an experiment in direct democracy that with the interconnectedness of the Internet generation may have more of a chance to actually work than ever before. Either way, it is exciting because we have come to an impasse with our old industrialized society and I think that the young generation is chafing at the limitations that the top-bottom model forces on them by virtue of how policies have been implemented over the past 4 decades through lobbying and financial interference in our political process. I would really like to see Citizens United overturned by a constitutional amendment and campaign reform to be completely overhauled. That is just the start than we can figure out the rest.

When I was a little girl, I would play with my china tea set that my great-aunt gave me as a present in the “storage” room off the living room. The room was separated from the living room by handmade curtains that were made my mother and hung on a rod, so that the room was completely closed off from the living room. My mother sewed quite a bit when I was little and even though it wasn’t her favorite thing to do, she did it very well. The curtains were my magical boundary from the real world. Once I was in my pretend world, I set the stage for whatever story came out of my imagination. I liked the feel of my china tea set, it had pretty flowers on the saucers, tea cups, creamer and tea pots. While I would be enjoying my pretend tea, I would take the Sear’s catalogue down from the bookshelf and read it from cover to cover, I loved reading and I loved having my alone time. Growing up I was often picked on by the kids on my block and I was often scared to go outside because I wasn’t sure if I was going to get picked on, made fun of or worse. It wasn’t always bad but more often than not, I would feel stressed so my time in my “storage” room, my pretend world, was a safe place and a welcome respite from the taunts of the neighborhood kids. The bullying eventually stopped with time and everyone growing up so my need for my safe place lessened over time as well. It still was an important part of my childhood, every child needs a safe place to call their own.
