raspberry tart

The Peasant's Table. I would serve French cuisine, the menu would have soups such as butternut squash soup, broccoli and potato soup, salads such as fresh corn, avocado and red pepper salad, endive, blue cheese and walnut salad main courses such as roasted chicken with roasted potatoes, rack of lamb with sauteed green beans with garlic, desserts would be profiterols, rustic apple tart, tart with nectarines and almond cream.

Rick Perry May Skip Some Of Remaining GOP Presidential Debates

Doesn’t Governor Perry understand that debates are one of the ways that the electorate can differentiate policies and values between the candidates. Moreover, running is a hard grueling process but nothing compared to what being President is so a candidate had better be up to the task of taking part in all debates and doing all the legwork. If I were a republican I would be angry with the party because look at the field that they have, Romney who waffles back and forth on every issue, Perry who can’t stay awake during debates and wants to limit the debates, Cain who seems to be on a book tour, Santorum, I don’t know why he is running, Bachmann who needs a geography lesson, Newt who is on a book tour as well and Ron Paul who is Ron Paul.

Elections 2012: State Issues Prove Tricky For GOP Presidential Field

Romney has been in this game long enough that you would think that he would think a little bit before taking a position on an issue, especially a no brainer such as union workers rights. He is a republican so therefore the he should be against collective bargaining rights and everything else associated with union workers rights. Why does he try to court democrats when he is only going to get called out on it? Sadly, unions have lost their appeal and I think that is due to the fact that the forefathers of the movement fought so hard and well for the various rights that we all take for granted that most don’t realize how important they are to our social contract. The declining median income in our country should be a clarion call to the renewed need for union protection of our right to a living wage. Instead the GOP adopted the phrase “right to work” which basically convinces people that we should be grateful for any type of wage, no matter how low it is. We are starting to wake up to the inequality and unfairness of the disparate income gap between the C.E.O’s and the rest of us.

Occupy Wall Street Isn’t Anti-Corporation, It’s Anti-Corporate Crime

Bob, you and Matt Taibbi have both given brilliant responses to the right wing talk radio heads’ attacks on the OWS movement. I think that middle class America’s powerless fight against the big banks and the foreclosures on their homes that were made worthless, all because of a game that Wall Street set up rigged in their favor with the help of political and economic policies generated over the past 3 decades, was the final straw that broke the camel’s back. How can anyone in their right mind not understand that after years of seeing big banks go down in one financial crisis after another, the debt shock of Mexico and Venezuela 1980’s, S & L crisis, 1980’s. Enron, and the Great Recession, the government bailing them out with our taxpayer dollars, average Americans would say enough is enough. The system is rigged, there is no equal opportunity, it isn’t what you know or how hard you work, it’s who you know and where you went to school and how much your parents made that determines if you are successful or not. That is not the American way.

Where is the most relaxing place in your world?

My home is my most relaxing place in my little world. It is spaciousness enough so that if you need alone time, you can find it. Each member of the family has their own room for privacy. We are also blessed with two full bathrooms, so there is no need to rush anyone from their occupation of said facility. We also have t.v’s in multiple locations, so if the televised content isn’t to your liking, you can go elsewhere to watch what you’d like and still be comfortable.

I am trying to think of my favorite room. I love my bedroom, first because I love sleeping and secondly, I do a lot of my writing, daily correspondence and bill paying on my computer in the relaxing atmosphere that makes up my room. There is also my kitchen that I love, it is very roomy, equipped with everything that I need for baking and cooking. Whenever I feel stressed, baking something from scratch or cooking something that I’ve never done before, is for me, the epitome of relaxation. All the smells, the focus on the recipe, the measuring, mixing, poaching, folding; there are so many techniques to the art of baking and cooking that you can forget yourself for hours in the kitchen.

There is then the living room with the over-sized couch, love seat and chaise lounge, all three are as comfortable as beds. In the evenings, I relax comfortably on the big couch with my Ipad, watching whatever my husband has on t.v and I start my drafts on Word Press and read the remaining sections of the Huffington Post that I didn’t get to that morning. We stay there until we get nice and tired and then we retire upstairs to our room where I put my finishing touches on my Word Press draft and it is time to fall asleep.

I don’t know if I have successfully conveyed how comfortable and relaxing my home is; I guess if I get surprise visitors in the next few days who want to use my kitchen to bake cupcakes, others who want to crash on my couch and watch t.v, then I will have my answer. Wait does that mean that if no one shows up, than I was unsuccessful? I’ll see with the comments perhaps.
