Let’s Get Real About 9-9-9

I agree with Mr. Pozen that Herman Cain started a much needed conversati­on about tax reform and that Cain’s plan is exhibit A, in what not to do for tax reform. Which leads us to the question what would be a suitable tax reform? Personally­, I wish that the tax code were simpler. Your tax responsibi­lities were taken out of you check weekly and end of story. No need to twist yourself up in knots before April 15th. Everything taken care with a paycheck, if you don’t have a paycheck, well obviously you wouldn’t be paying taxes because you have no income anyway. I know that my wish is simplistic to the nth degree so anyone feel free to criticize and ridicule but if you do at least provide your own version as to what the tax code should be.

Does technology help you with your writing?

If I were to be very specific, I would say that technology has helped with writing in that it helped me to discover that I actually enjoy writing. It was through using the Internet at the behest of my husband that I discovered Huffington Post. Reading the Huffington Post led me to register as a member which finally led me in late December of last year to start commenting in response to reading bloggers and articles concerning politics, a subject that has always interested me and that I have a passion for. I stumbled onto WordPress accidentally and I immediately signed up and joined Postaday2011, and I’ve been writing daily ever since.

Other than discovering that writing everyday is not a chore but rather a pleasure, technology in and of itself doesn’t impact my writing other than the fact that my writing wouldn’t be posted on the web instantaneously without the Internet. I try not to rely on spell check and grammar check, I prefer doing it manually, I use the two after I’ve proofed the post as a double-check. So that is about it for technology and my writing. If I think of anything else, I’ll revisit the topic.

A Reality Show I'd Try Out For

The only interesting reality show being produced on t.v and has won quite a bit of Emmy's is the Amazing Race. I hate competing and I don't know how well I would hold up on the physical challenges so I don't think I would try out for it. I enjoy watching the show more than the idea of competing in it.
