Michele Bachmann 2012 Campaign Looking To Get Back On Track

Michele Bachmann shouldn’t be surprised if her campaign fizzles out. She is competing against two governors, that compared to her 2.5 terms as congresswoman, is a much better track record in leadership than simply voting yes, no or present. I don’t believe that she has crafted any substantial legislation herself and if she did she had better trot it out for all to see because her accomplishments aren’t that many when you compare it to governorship of a state. Moreover, this is the GOP, I’m sorry but I think that they are still sexist, so when you have two males to pick from, I doubt a woman is going to have much success. Her very own statement and belief/values system give validity to my point. “Wives be submissive to your husbands” it doesn’t lend itself well to running for Commander-in-Chief/President. She isn’t going anywhere near the White House or the nomination, I am not crying over it, I am just saying. I hope that no one asks her to be V.P., I doubt Perry would but Romney might. Just saying, once again.

Obama Jobs Plan: $447 Billion, More Than Half In Tax Cuts, To Be Paid For By Super Committee

What I would like to see in regards to infrastructure spending is a guarantee that it is done in conjunction with the “Made in America” bill that, I’m pretty sure, died a slow death in the House because it was pushed by democrats. Anyway, I don’t want to read anymore articles that highlight the fact that we barely manufacture in this country. The souvenirs in the Smithsonian are all made in China. The new bridge to be installed in the San Francisco are is being imported from China! New York City, one of their subway lines is being refurbished by a Chinese firm alongside the Alexander Hamilton bridge. I mean in this economy, this is a horrific joke. Forget about bidding out to the lowest bidder, I don’t want us to use Chinese steel. Does anyone remember the moldy Chinese drywall debacle in new homes? We need to use American made products in our infrastructure projects.

The key phrase in the article is political will. The democrats have to take that phrase to the airwaves and repeatedly tell everyone that the republicans are not doing anything to help the American people because they choose to use their political will (just like we all have free will) not to. The democrats need to state emphatically that the republicans are using their political(free) will to do as the Koch brothers, Wall Street and the big banks want. They could even use Chris Christie as an example. Christie had a wonderful opportunity to ban fracking in the sate of N.J. He went to speak at a Koch brother funded retreat in June and came back to veto the bill. The Koch brothers who are in oil and gas won again against the environment and average people. We are not in these dire straits by accident, they are because of wrong choices made by republicans using their political will. Republican Hansarling gave a wonderful example when he said “not all tax cuts are created equal” when saying that the payroll tax cuts for middle class employees were too expensive but the tax cuts for the wealthy were okay because they are “job creators”.

Italy, postaday2011, Sandals

I stumbled upon a lovely blog called Snottingblack and the post was titled “If You Love Something, Strap Your Feet Into It”, I was drawn in by a picture of nice feet encased in nice comfy sandals. The story was so nicely written and had a very welcoming style to it. The authoress was describing a story about one experience during her trip to Italy, how she felt as a tourist compared to the locals. The way she describes her encounter with the culture, her host family, the countryside is quite engaging and reels you in. It’s as if she is talking with you as opposed to a recitation of some trip she had taken. I have become a follower, that is how much I liked her post.

Crisp 6: Generic name creativity fail

I would love to do a commercial for Crispix cereal, a most under-rated cereal. It is light, crunchy and a tasty low sugar, high fiber cereal.
