I don’t disagree with the author’s assertions­, I wasn’t born yet, but I read somewhere that during the Nixon/Kenn­edy debate the outcome of who won was primarily based on whether you watched the debate on t.v, or if you listened to it on the radio. The visual audience had Kennedy winning, whereas the auditory audience had Nixon as the winner. It would be interestin­g to have all 4 lady tea party candidates debate each other on the radio, say for the 3rd party nomination­, to see who would win. The attractive one or the less attractive one. This would be done solely for science, social science that is, we would have to make sure the ladies weren’t aware of the scientific nature of this experiment because we all know how they feel about science.
