Looking forward to something like a family reunion in France, or Mother’s day because I get cards and presents, or the opening day of a movie such as Pirates of the Caribbean, on Stranger Tides. Basically, it’s the looking forward to something that makes me feel like a young girl again. That giddy sense of expectation rarely coupled with disappointment because time has helped dampen that saddening sense of that’s it? There isn’t anything else? I am content with what is and that is a gift that time and experience grant you and I am thankful for it. But, I do really like the still child-like excitement that comes with looking forward to something special, it keeps me from getting jaded and complacent on life.
